Whereas Happy Times Child Care Initiatives focuses on improving the lives of children in Luweero district and the neighboring districts, children need an enabling environment to ensure their survival, development, care and protection as well as their full participation in matters affecting them.

Despite the progress made by Happy Times Child Care Initiatives for the last 16 years. The lives and future of thousands of our children are still in jeopardy. Ensuring child survival, positive child development and protection remain a critical challenge to be addressed as most of the children around us are classified as vulnerable. The situation has been exacerbated by lack of committed community members to serve the children and poor resource envelope to some organizations taking care of children.

We should ensure our children are safe, healthy, educated, and developed to their full potential and able to participate in matters that can help them to come up as good and responsible people.

Happy Times Child Care Initiatives therefore is providing a strategic plan to address issues related to children rights and wellbeing in a holistic and coordinated manner. The organization intends to create a better child environment through appropriate interventions that are well-coordinated and transparent. Throughout this project cycle HTCCI is focused on orphans and other vulnerable children including their caregivers

Our view for the future

HTCCI is focused at a paradigm shift from a dependent child to a future selfsustaining individual. Our strategic plan is focused on children rights, survival, development, protection, health, education and nutrition. HTCCI considers reflects and observes the National Child Policy (NCP) that gives the children all the priorities as per development plan III (2019/20 – 2023/24) and sustainable development goals respectively.
