Call to Action

Fundraising for Children in need

As little as $x can be enough to nurture a child for a month and cover their medical needs, that way we can concentrate in providing them with quality education at school and provide them workshops about useful skills they can use in the future. Happy Times Childcare Initiatives (HTCI) was established to address the different challenges affecting children in Uganda. Based on the increasing number of orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda and the fact that they have limited access to social services, HTCI started a primary school to enable orphans and vulnerable children to attend free, affordable, and quality education. There are many children affected and infected by HIV who because of their condition are unable to complete education. There is also a need to help these children access proper health service and be protected from all forms of child abuse. The increasing cases of child abandonment has left many children homeless which led HTCI to open an orphanage. The orphanage was approved by Ministry of Gender labor and social development. The families lacking capacity to take care of their children’s needs drew HTCI to build the capacity of the communities to manage their development and be in position to protect their children.
